How much do you charge for a website?

My Essentials Websites Packages start at:

$975* for a 5 page website
$1300* for a 10 page website
$1595* for a 15 page website

These packages all include:

  • Website creation and development using WordPress CMS
  • Assistance setting up website hosting & domain name **
  • Customised themes & designs or dedicated custom design
  • Web banner design
  • Formatting images and media for web
  • Initial SEO setup
  • Submission to search engines
  • Social Media Integration
  • Contact forms
  • Website Security & Backups
  • Training notes

* Please note – The prices above are just for a guide and I will be able to give you a more accurate quote once I know all your requirements.

** Website hosting & domain name hosting are separate ongoing costs required for owning a website. I can organise this for you if you do not already have a hosting plan. My preferred hosts are VentraIp as they are Australian based with Australian support, are optimised for WordPress and include a free SSL certificate for all websites.

What is the process of creating a website?

Stage 1:

  • Initial meeting to discuss requirements / content plan
  • Start initial design process – the look and feel of the site to match company branding and personality.
  • Design & layout for each page / inputting content.
  • Banner design & resizing images for all pages
  • Send screenshots to client
  • 1st round of revisions after client feedback

Stage 2:

  • Create test website – for client viewing & feedback
  • 2nd round of revisions after client feedback
  • Final content & feedback / revisions

Stage 3:

  • Database & WordPress setup on live domain
  • Under construction page if required
  • Building website on live domain
  • Initial SEO Setup + instructions on how to improve your SEO
  • WordPress Security setup & First backup
  • Submit to search engines & sitemap submission
  • Training Notes on how to update your site

Do you offer ongoing support?

Yes, every website includes 1 month of additional support if you require extra training or assistance. WordPress websites need to be maintained and updated to ensure that they remain secure.

If you would prefer me to do the updates and maintenance for you I charge an annual fee of $150 for this service which also includes regular backups. If any technical problems occur due to an update I will fix it for you at no extra charge.

Can you write my content?

Personally I prefer clients to give me content to work with and then I can tweak and edit it so that it is optimised for search engines and fits the overall design structure.

However, I understand that for some people this is the hardest part of planning a website and if you are struggling to get started I highly recommend Lizzie Nunn of Little Upstart Copywriting who can research and write all your content for you from scratch, for all pages, blog posts & social media.

If you are interested in using Little Upstart Copywriting services, please let me know when you request a quote and I can organise for Lizzie to be involved in our first meeting and we will provide a joint quote for our services.

How much do you charge for Graphic Design?

My freelance rate is $65.

When quoting I will estimate how long I expect the project to take. To avoid going over budget I will let you know throughout the project if something may take longer than expected, or if something falls outside the original quote.

Graphic Design Sample Rate Card:

  • Logo Design / Branding 2 Concepts + business card: $550
  • DL Flyer 2 sided: $150
  • DL Folded (6 sides) $350
  • Business Card: $65
  • A3 / A4 Poster: $150
  • Multipage A5 Brochure 8 pages: $450
    (additional double page spread= $100)
